Father’s day is right around the corner and we have a perfect Beef Shish Kebab recipe to make Dad for dinner on his day! What a great gift!
This delicious, quick, and simple recipe is a lot of fun for kids who love to help out in the kitchen. Kebabs are made by skewering pieces of marinated meat, seafood, and/or vegetables and then cooked by either pan-frying or grilling them. You can even add fruit to your kebab for extra flavor and a touch of sweetness! This dish is very flexible and can be made with a multitude of ingredients to fit everyone’s individual preferences. Having a ‘build-your-own’ kebab night is a great way to get the whole family together and help out with dinner. The base of a traditional kebab is typically meat, which is marinated in salt, pepper, garlic, oil, and sometimes other spices. Our universal marinade recipe can be used to flavor any item used, including meat, seafood, and vegetables, to fill skewers. The addition of honey in this recipe adds a sweetness that kids go nuts for!
Check out this recipe even further on Good Day Austin’s Make It Monday where Leah Smith, Lauren Petrowski, and I grill up some Kebabs and talk about our first annual Chefs Club Summer Sizzle Cook-Off. This event is happening between 3-6 PM on Father’s day; Sunday, June 21st, at the new Grand Park in the Domain. There is still time for kids, ages 7-14, to sign up! If you are interested in participating, email us at [email protected]!
Have a Happy Father’s Day – from Chefs Club and Kids Kitchen!
