We had a wonderful time at the Fit Foodie 5K in Austin last month. It was a perfect fall day for running despite the rain (motivates you to run faster, right?) We want to thank all of you who participated in our Fit Foodie 5K challenge and we had a blast with the winners who ran with us. We “tweeted our feet” one last time in preparation for the race.

After the race we headed over to the Finishers Village where there was a ton of free samples of delicious food from various places in Austin including Congress and Second Bar and Kitchen, How Do You Roll and Way Better Snacks along with many others. We were also treated to beverages from Stella and mimosas with Cupcake and Chloe wine and champagne. We met Alison Sweeney from City of Hope and Cooking Light presented samples of very yummy beef and chicken dishes. There was even a group workout hosted by Patrick Goudeau to keep everybody energized and help work off all of those calories from the food!
