All Veggies here today.

Snowmen and Christmas Tree we have seen before.  But, not ones like these.  Today, we made them with vegetables.

Could be the most healthy thing on your holiday buffet.  Don’t let the kids fool you by telling you that won’t eat it.  Today, I had kids trying cherry tomatoes, cauliflower, hummus, etc for the first time and some licking the dip off their plate.

Our snowman were made out of wheat round crackers, cream cheese (or hummus) matchstick carrots, and raisins.  The kids’ snowmen melted fast because they were all gone in a flash!

Veggie Tree with Dill Dip: Broccoli florets alternating rows with cherry tomatoes.  Yellow pepper strips to represent the star.  Baby carrots as the trunk.  Cauliflower sprinkled on the ground for snow.  I actually had kids fighting over getting more broccoli.  Almost all kids tried every vegetable, and some for the very first time.

Dill Dip for Veggies:

1 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup sour cream
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tbsp dill weed
salt and pepper to taste

Today was a success in the Kitchen.  New tastings. Fun food. Healthy snacks. Nutrition Education.
